Important News: 1 July 2013 Changes to the Temporary Work (Skilled) Subclass 457 program

Back to Visas and Citizenship

On 1 July 2013, there were a range of changes to the Temporary Work (Skilled) (Subclass 457) visa requirements.

Further information about these is available. See: Changes to the Subclass 457 Program

One impact of these changes is that all Temporary Work (Skilled) (Subclass 457) sponsorship, nomination and visa applications, including those associated with overseas business sponsors, must be lodged online from 1 July 2013. Sponsorship, nomination and visa applications associated with overseas business sponsors will now be processed in Australia.

Temporary Work (Skilled) (Subclass 457) Sponsorship, nomination and visa applications can no longer be lodged on paper application forms at one of the Australian visa offices in China or at one of the Australian Visa Application Centres (AVACs).

To lodge an online application, see: Employer Sponsored Workers (e457) Online Applications
