Vacancy – Senior Waiter to the Ambassador
LE3 (Full-time)


The Embassy of Australia is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified Chinese staff (LE3, full time) to fill the position of Senior Waiter (male or female) to the Ambassador.

DUTY STATEMENT

Under general direction, arrange to deliver efficiently and effectively services at Ambassador's Residence.

1. Set up banquet areas for events.
2. Meet and greet guests.
3. Serve pre-dinner drinks.
4. Provide first class service during banquets.
5. Serve lunch/dinners.
6. Cleaning and polishing silver tableware and cutleries.
7. Working with the Ambassador’s social secretary to control the inventory of all banquet supplies and equipment as well as bulk liquor stock.
8. Weekly ordering of daily necessities.

 

SELECTION CRITERIA


A. Sound knowledge and experiences in food and beverage. Demonstrated ability to arrange and serve for banquets and big events in a professional manner.
B. Interpersonal skills of a high order, including the ability to work effectively as a team member to thoroughly and effectively achieve objectives.
C. Ability to communicate in English.
D. Availability to work outside regular hours.
E. Initiative; flexibility; adaptability; set priorities and meet deadlines.
