A series of information seminars will be held during the exhibitions in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou covering areas such as course structures, tuition fees, study environment, accommodation, graduate employment opportunities, and visa issues. There will be an opportunity for question and answer sessions after each presentation.
Australian airline Qantas Airways will sponsor four free air tickets to Australia to lucky visitors to the Australian pavilion in Beijing and Shanghai through a “lucky draw”. This will give some fortunate Chinese students and their parents an opportunity to explore first hand Australia’s highly advanced education and training system plus its safe and comfortable environment.

Medibank Private Limited, Australia’s biggest private health insurance fund provides health insurance to Chinese students studying in Australia and Chinese people visiting Australia. Medibank Private’s Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) offers many advantages for students. The fund has been providing health insurance to students for almost 20 years, and has dealt with most medical circumstances. Medibank Private also operates Australia’s largest health insurance retail network, with approximately 100 branches located in major cities and towns nationwide. This enables Chinese students and visitors to easily obtain face to face advice from friendly and experienced staff when they need it. At the Beijing and Shanghai events, Medibank Private staff will be on hand to talk to students and parents about the Australian health care system and the benefits of Medibank Private’s OSHC.
During the Beijing Exhibition, Medibank Private and the Chinese Service Centre for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) will conclude a Memorandum on Cooperation between the two organizations as a first step to develop a practical strategy to assist Chinese students with their health insurance needs in Australia.
Australia’s most famous publisher of travel guides “Lonely Planet” will also be present at the Exhibition showcasing the release of their recently published “Australia” Guide in Chinese. This is a comprehensive resource for Chinese students to understand Australia, its culture, lifestyle and travel destinations and assist them to truly “explore” the special place that is Australia.
