Visa Evidencing in Person
Lodgement
Passports can also be lodged for evidencing in person or by an authorised person, between 9.00 – 10.00am on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday. The address for lodgement is Australian Embassy Beijing, 21 Dongzhimenwai Dajie, Beijing.
Passport Collection
Passport lodged between 9.00 – 10.00am will usually be ready for collection between 11.30 and 12.00 on the same day. If for some reason same day collection is not possible, you will be advised of this at the time the passport is lodged.
Circumstances in which same day collection may not be possible include, but are not limited to, peak travel periods when large volumes of passports are received by our office for evidencing, re-evidencing of visa due to loss of old passport, etc. In this situation, your passport will be ready for collection in 3-5 working days. You should consider sending your passport in by mail or courier in such peak periods.
When collecting passport, please ensure that you bring a valid form of ID and the passport collection slip, which is issued at the time of lodgement. If the passport is being collected by an authorised person, the authorised person must also bring a signed letter authorising them to collect the passport on your behalf.
If you do not wish to collect the passport in person, you can elect to have your passport returned by registered mail (free of charge) or by EMS (for a RMB20 fee) at the time of passport lodgement.
