English Requirements
1. What are the English language requirements?

2. If I have completed a course that was conducted in English, am I required to provide an English language test result?
In most cases, you must provide an English language test result at the time you lodge your application. Exceptions to this requirement include:
• Mongolian applicants for a subclass a Subclass 570 (Independent ELICOS sector) visa; or
• Mongolian applicants for a Subclass 571 (Schools sector) visa; or
• Applicants who have studied in English for at least five years in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, United Kingdom or United States (you must provide evidence of this); or
• Applicants who, in the two years previously, have successfully completed in Australia a foundation course, Senior Secondary Certificate of Education, or the substantial part of a Certificate IV or higher level qualification from the Australian Qualifications Framework.
