Applying By Mail
If you are a Mongolian citizen and wish to apply for a Student Visa by mail, please send your application and supporting documentation by mail to the Beijing Visa Office at the address listed on the Contact Us page. Processing of applications received via mail will only commence after payment is received.
An initial assessment will be made based on your application and supporting documentation provided and within 7 days of lodgement we will send a letter to you acknowledging receipt of your application, providing the contact details of your Case Officer and requesting any additional documentation that may be required.
Applying In-Person
If you are a Mongolian citizen and wish to apply for a Student Visa in-person at the Beijing Visa Office, please visit the office during the business hours listed in the Contact Us page.
Presenting and Sorting Your Documents
Please assist us to process your application as efficiently as possible. To facilitate quick registration of your application, we recommend you to have regard to the following suggestions in preparing your application for lodgement:
• Remove any stationery from your application and supporting documents, including staples, binders, bull clips, paper clips, folders, plastic pockets and post-it notes.
• Place your documents in the following general order (from top to bottom):
1. Passport-sized photos for applicant(s) and sponsor
2. Form 157A;
3. Form 54;
4. Form 1229 (if applicable);
5. Form 956 (if applicable);
6. Photocopies of the details page of the passport of each person included in the application;
7. Notarised documents as required in the “General Documentary Requirements” section above;
8. Educational and English qualifications documents;
9. Documents evidencing financial capacity; and
10. Letter of Offer from your education provider.
Please note that the above order is based on the example of a single applicant for a Subclass 573 visa, and should be regarded as an indicative guide for all student visa applications.
