Where to Apply
If you live in the following provinces you should apply at the Beijing Visa Office: Beijing, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Tianjin, Shandong, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Henan, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Chongqing, Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang, and Tibet.
If you live in the following provinces you should apply at the Shanghai Visa Office: Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Hubei.
If you live in the following provinces you should apply at the Guangzhou Visa Office: Guangdong, Fujian, Hunan, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou, and Hainan.
Applying by Mail
If you are in China and wish to apply for a Resident Return Visa by mail, please send your application, passport and supporting documentation by mail to the relevant Visa Office (as per above) at the address listed on the Contact Us page.
Please ensure that you include a receipt for the correct Visa Application Charge.
For applications lodged in Beijing, please also include an additional RMB 20 to cover the EMS return of your passport and visa decision. For applications lodged in Shanghai and Guangzhou, your passports will be returned by EMS and the receiver will be charged on delivery.
Presenting Your Documents
Please assist us to process your application as efficiently as possible. To facilitate quick registration of your application, please remove any stationery from your application and supporting documents, including staples, binders, bull clips, paper clips, folders, plastic pockets and "post-it notes".
