Introduction
Please note that all documents in Chinese must be accompanied by English translations and that we reserve the right to verify any documents lodged with your application.
Failure to provide these documents with your application is likely to result in processing delays.
All passports submitted must be signed by the bearer.
Application Forms and Fee
• Form 456 Application For A Business (Short Stay) Visa (for a stay of up to 3 months) (signed by the applicant)
• Supplementary 456 Information Sheet
• Form 54 Family Composition - English/Chinese (signed by the visa applicant)
• Visa Application Charge. Please note that this fee is the same for all Temporary Business Entry visas irrespective of whether you are applying for a single entry or multiple entry visa. This can be paid in person or by Chinese postal order. Passports are returned by EMS, Please include an extra RMB20 for the cost of postage (maximum 5 passports) with the Chinese postal order. Do not send cash in the mail.
• One recent passport type photograph of each applicant.
Supporting Documents
• A valid passport and business card.
• A letter of invitation from the inviting organisation in Australia. This may include information concerning the purpose of the visit and previous business dealings with the applicants.
• A detailed itinerary including contact details of Australian companies or rganisations you will be visiting.
• A letter from your work unit authorising your visit, signed by the Legal Representative. This letter should include reasons for the visit, details of all members of the delegation, their positions of employment and the role each member will play in the visit.
• Evidence that your company is a viable business. This may include, but is not limited to, a certified copy of your company's business registration certificate issued by Industrial and Commercial Bureau, tax certificates or other information that would demonstrate that the visit is reasonable relative to your company's size and business interests.
• If you or any other member of your delegation have previously applied for a visa, please provide details of when the application was lodged, the class of visa applied for and whether the application was approved or refused. If you have had a previous unsuccessful application please provide a statement of your understanding of the reasons for the application being denied.
• A copy of the front page of your passport containing your personal information such as name, date of birth etc.
